lan Lewandowski, manager of the photo work of Kenny Gardner (1913-2002), an American vocalist, photographer, WWII veteran, and volunteer firefighter. Kenny was the primary vocalist for Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians, for whom he was also the unofficial photographer. The band most notably performed at 48 straight New Year’s Eve broadcasts on CBS until Guy’s death in 1977, beginning on radio in 1928, and on CBS Television from 1956 to 1976 (which also featured coverage of the ball drop in Times Square). Most photos take place on cross-country tours, backstage at live performances, and at Gardner’s home on Long Island.
